    Low charge voltage

Thanx for the update. It's good to know C.R. is still a good place to do business with..

    Low charge voltage

I bought and threw away 2 of the harbor freight ones. They're junk. Once you've learnt how to use an analog meter, you won't go back to a digital meter.

    Low charge voltage

I'm not sure what's wrong with the link but if you search for "Tekpower YX360TreB" on the Amazon site it will pop up. It's a lot of meter for 15 bucks... Tony

    Low charge voltage

I prefer to use analog meters for most bike stuff. I have this one from Amazon and I use it more than any other I have and I have several... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005UTGO6U/?coliid=I13J2TU08M7XCL&colid=2UNVHKQLMWPUU&psc=1

I'm looking for a local shop to rewind them. In the meantime I send people to Custom Rewind in Birmingham, Alabama 800-798-7282. They rewind rotors and stators for most bikes. Tony

Spark Plugs fouling if I don't use bike for a few days

I didn't realize it was an old thread. I try to avoid replying to them... Anyway I agree with you on most of that. Tony

    Low charge voltage

In the 20+ years I was a bike mechanic, I never saw a bad rotor I couldn't diagnose with an ohm meter. I suppose it's possible but I've never seen it... Sometimes you get the symptoms of a bad rotor and it's a problem with the brushes or the slip rings on the rotor are corroded. That's one...

Spark Plugs fouling if I don't use bike for a few days

Try holding that straw for 24 hours. Eventually the liquid will run out. Also gas has much less surface tension that water. One more thing to consider. It's rare but it can happen sometimes when an engine is tilted to the side, puddled oil in head will get over the tops of the lave guide...

Read article #7 here... http://www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com/FAQ.html It has all the information to get you started on the problem... Tony

charging bad 2 1/2 years not yet fixed!

I've seen the wires to the brushes develop high resistance. It wouldn't hurt to pop the cover off the alternator and check the brushes as well as the resistance in the wires. Tony

    Ignition Switch

Another option would be to have a locksmith take out the tumblers out of the gas cap lock so that any key would open it.

    Condenser?

I've found that using Chevy V* condensers and mounting them up by the coils rather than down on the beaker plate works very well. Not only are they a better condenser that last a lot longer, they're way cheaper... Tony

    Fuse block melted

I like to use fuse blocks that take the blade type fuses since you can get them almost anywhere. I know we should always carry a few spare fuses but, we don't always do that... Tony

I don’t know what to do...

The next time it acts up, open then close the gas cap. If that makes it run better for a short time, the vent is plugged. Tony

Spark Plugs fouling if I don't use bike for a few days

There's still gas in the lines. It's enough to cause the carbs to flood but not a lot. It's still worth trying to park the bike on the center stand to see if it makes a difference... Tony
