In the Fall, my chain snapped and on its way out, it slapped the case. We use a product at work(devcon aluminum putty) to repair aluminum castings, and I decided to give it a try. Wont know for sure till the spring if it will hold up. But seeing how it applied and cured, I have high hopes!!

I second Digger. I had Pods and different jets on my bike and when I bought it. It ran "ok", so I thought... When I put the stock jets and air box on, it ran a 1000 times better. More power. More MPG's Smother through the revs.

Yeah, I found the muffler you are talking about on Ebay. thats a bit pricey for just a muffler... Any body else have muffler suggestions for a straight (not bent) muffler?

Ok, so I contacted Mac today to figure out what is going on with two different mufflers with the same part # 001-1013. What I found out was that, 001-1013 is the part number for the muffler with the slight bend upwards (seen in the pic above) The second, lower muffler (seen in pic above) is...

I went with the inch measurements, and yes, I have inner tubes in mine.

Dang! I am actually looking for the straight one, as I have saddlebags on my bike and I fill like the "Bent" muffler would not look right. Back to my concern, how do I ensure that I am ordering one or the other if the part number is the same for both???

No cutting needed, this is a slip on muffler. In my pic I have added, just behind the foot peg is where I can remove my stock muffler.

Exactly my point! Most everybody here is riding a 30-40 year old motorcycle. I highly doubt anyone is running on original rubber. You would think that something as basic as tires would have a good amount of info.

A search of "Tires" results in 5 threads, 1 of which is mine.
