My 750 k1 doesn't have the rubber boots on the front forks. I want to replace them for the original look but have yet to figure out how the small ring (fork rib) secures at the top of the boot. What keeps it in place? The current rings on my bike were just held in place with electrical tape...

Asking opinions. Decided to use one of the original colors for the tank, side covers and headlight bucket. Bike was originally metallic green. What is your favorite color for a repaint or should I stay with the original met green. I like candy gold and tempted to change color.
