    Question about coils

Replacing the coils and wires on my 79 750F and I got to wondering. Are they single fire, or multi fire? In other words, are there wasted sparks as a coil would fire on an empty cylinder? Just curious is all.

    Carb sync success!

Just took her out. Started easier, and MUCH crisper throttle response. Runs like the wind. Not bad for a 44 year old bike!

    Carb sync success!

What I once thought was a daunting task, turned out to be very easy. Watched a youtube video on syncing carbs on my 79 750F. Bought the same gauge setup the guy in the vid used, and from very start to all buttoned up was like 1 1/2 hours. And that included getting a coffee, talking with the...

    Advice syncing carbs on a 79 750F

I’m pretty sure I know the answer, but need to be confirmed. I have a 79 750F. Just bought a sync gauge setup. Online tutorials that I’ve viewed say to hook the gauge for #2 carb to the vacuum port that operates the peacock. My 79 has a philips head screw on the inlet of #2 just like all the...

    In search of.....

The weight doesn't really matter to me, I'm not "Ricky Roadracer" anymore! But yea, finding the needle in the haystack stock setup would be pretty pricy. I'll just stick with what I have, it runs just fine the way it is.

I did. They use the same microfiche that Honda Parts Nation uses. I’ve checked David Silver spares and sent them an email, so we’ll see.

    In search of.....

Just was looking at Honda Parts Nation online. Tons of stuff, but alas..... nothing for the exhaust. They're like hens teeth. But one part I would really love to have is the throttle friction screw that goes under the Right switch pod. Any idea the size of the screw, I can make my own...

    In search of.....

I'm in search of a parts manual for my 79 750F. Yes, I know there are online manuals, but I want a paper one I can grab up at anytime. Also looking for CLEAN stock exhaust (that I can afford) for same bike. 750F or 900F pipes and mufflers will work.

    Super Sport stock exhaust

Is there even such a thing anymore? Looking for STOCK exhaust for my 79 750F SS. Any leads? Flea bay has a couple listings, but they're really ratty. Does such a thing exist anymore, or are they like Sasquatch, some claim to have seen him, but don't know where he is at the moment.

1980 Honda CB750 Super Sport seat won't come up

I have a 1979 Super Sport, there is no seat latch. You pull the side covers and there is a 12MM bolt on each side. Remove that bolt and the seat will come off. Lift the rear spoiler, and slide the seat back, there’s a tongue on the front of the seat that slides into a rubber mount.

    Carb fuel question and fitment

Bought a set of carbs from eBay that the seller assured me would fit my 79 CB750F SS. There is a "T" fitting along the fuel rail between #3 and #4 carbs. Should this be capped? Pics for clarity. Also, there's a capped nipple on the throat of #2 carb. Does this supply vacuum for the slides in...

    Old School Carbs

I sent my carbs to Jack at Old School Carbs back in February. I know on his web site he says he has a 10 -12 week backlog, but when I've left messages there's been no reply. Hopefully he's still in business! Anyone have any insight??

    Rebuilding rear master cylinder problems

Need some assistance. 79 750F Super Sport. Has sat in dry storage since 1988. I'm rebuilding the wheel and master cylinders. The piston is STUCK in the rear master cylinder. I've taken everything apart but that. I was able to tap it to move it in the bore, hit the intake with air from my...

    What’s this little doohickey?

Hi guru’s. Just scored a sweet little 79 750F. Been years since I’ve had a Honda, so I’m really rusty. Ordered a service manual but it won’t be here for a few more days. What’s this little gem leaking a black tar like substance on the battery? Also, how the heck do I get the little Phillips...
