    Ripple Rock Racers/Hindle stainless exhaust

I got the exhaust a few days ago and it was easy to install except for a few fitment issues with the center stand. It's seriously lightweight and sounds snarly but not too loud. After about 4k RPM it makes a feelable difference in power. The stock units weigh about 30 pounds each. this weighs...

    Fork cap frustration

Ok I kind of made my own wrench that I could apply more downward pressure with out of a 11/16 crow foot wrench and vise grips. I had to take the bars off for clearance and was able to get the caps on.

Difference in fork oil between them? Low air pressure in forks?

    Fork cap frustration

I just changed my fork seals, dust caps, and the little split plastic seal inside the cartridge. It went pretty well except for the darn clips. I filled each leg with 6oz 10w and put the springs in small diameter first. I can’t get the fork caps to engage without slightly cross threading. I’m...

    Ripple Rock Racers/Hindle stainless exhaust

That's Canadian dollars. The total with shipping to CT USA is $577.16 I talked to the guys at Hindle who make it for RRR and they said the owner Kemp is a real perfectionist and brings them bikes for fitment and dyno tuning. the MAC system is chrome plated steel and is $501.95 less shipping...

    aftermarket windscreen

I totally agree on the looks thing. Also to your point universal usually universally doesn't fit. I plan on commuting with this bike so I need function over form. Apparently Givi is an Italian brand and they have all their manufacturing from the plastics to the hardware in their own plant.

    aftermarket windscreen

I know the chance of finding a genuine Honda NOS or used one are nil so I'm looking at a GIVI A31. I was going to just leave the bike without one but after some highway cruising I feel it's needed to be more comfortable...

    Gas Cap Removal (No key)

Agreed but the full number is on my helmet lock assembly. Most people don't know it's there as well as the ignition. It's worth a check anyway as mine's a 82 also.

    Gas Cap Removal (No key)

There's a number stamped on the ignition lock cylinder and the helmet holder. Take the number to a locksmith and have a new key made. All you have to do for the helmet lock is take out 2 bolts to remove it from the bike.

Headlight socket has no power on high or low

With the help of our esteemed amc49 I was able to track it down to a missing part in my new switch. There are two slider contacts inside the start button switch. One is to energize the starter and the other is to cut the light circuit so more power goes to the starter. One was missing in the...

Headlight socket has no power on high or low

I rode the bike about an hour over the weekend and I thought everything was fine. I went to start it today and after turning the key I noticed the left signal bulb and the headlight were out. I attributed it to old bulbs being energized and not handling it. I first verified no fuses were blown...
