    Stripped pilot jet holes

I'm re-building a set of carbs for '74 cb350-four and hit a snag. The holes for the pilot jets (or slow jets) are stripped on 2 of the four carbs. The old jets are out but the new ones won't thread in. They bottom out and keep turning. I'm thinking the last guy that re-built them over-tightend...

    Strong Fuel smell at Idle

Could use some advice for my '80 cb750F. I'm getting a strong smell of gas at idle, but the plugs look fine. The electrode is clean with a little bit of light gray on the insulator. It almost looks a little on the lean side. Carbs, jetting and air cleaner are all stock. Pipe is a four-into-one V&H.

    Rear End Noise

I just replaced the chain and sprockets on my '80 750F. Now I'm getting metallic swooshing sound when the bike is under load. No noise when I'm costing, only when accelerating on steady state throttle. All the spacers are in the correct postion and the rear wheel is straight. Any help or...

    Felt Washers

After soaking my carbs in cleaner and rinsing them off, I noticed the felt washer came out of the butterfly linkage. Now what do I do? Will the missing washer cause an air leak? According to the carb cleaning manual I downloaded off this site, you can't buy them, you must make them. is this true?

    Cleaning carbs with lemon juice.

Has anybody tried cleaning their carbs by boiling them in lemon juice? I thought I would try it, hoping that it wouldn't dull the finish like traditional carb dip does. Well, they come out looking the same, plus some of the grease and grim build up on the exterior of the bodies was still there...

    Front Caliper Upgrade

I'm the proud new owner of an 1980 CB750F and would like to do a brake upgrade. Does anyone know of any modern multi-piston calipers that would bolt up to the original fork without any extensive modifications? Thanks, John
