1974 CB750 First Bike, First Problems

Just a follow up post to my wiring problem, I definitely had a blown fuse. 3rd down 15amp was broke. I replaced it and got most of my electrical back up and running following the diagrams I found on the web. But, still can't get the bike to fire. I know its still my wiring that's holding me...

1974 CB750 First Bike, First Problems

I think I just pooched my wiring last weekend. I tried switching the handle bars for more aggressive/lower bars (not quite clubman) and the cabling / master cylinder wouldn't fit well, so I ended up putting my old bars back on until I can get a shop to look at it. But, then when I was wiring...

Video for checking valve clearances on the DOHC CB750

Great video Travis, thanks. I don't believe my '74 CB750 has ever been checked. It has 15k original miles, and once engine has run for a bit / operating temp the motor is strong. I've been told it probably needs rejetting more then anything which would help with starting and holding idle for...

    The Walking Dead on AMC

Great final episode, love the show. There was an after show / feature called Talking Dead, its about 30mins you can probably find it online. Its definitely a prison and suggested the 3rd season will spend a fair amount of time. The sword girl with chained up zombie's is from the comics /...

    Sanding Aluminum forks

thanks for your link, the parts you polished look great. I have a good fast drill and even angle grinder. Just never bought the bits and brass wheels etc for them. I'm quite new to this work, but am motivated to learn. My bike looks great from a distance, but up close you see the age. I'll...

    Sanding Aluminum forks

I've started sanding my front forks by hand. So far so good, I plan on taking the grits up 320, 600, 900+ as needed. I've seen on Youtube people finish with a polishing wheel on a drill. Has anyone done this and what were the results? Open to suggestions as my forks are badly oxidized. Thanks
