Is the oil seal behind the rotor coil serviceable without removing the motor and splitting the case? And is a minor oil leak/drip in this area detrimental to the coil, stater, or brushes? Any info or advice is appreciated. I just finishing up installing a new rotor, and stater coil, don't want...

I have a 1980 CB-750k and although it does cry for a sixth gear, it is a 5 speed. I have been thinking about increasing the number of teeth on the final drive sprocket by one.

thank you, I will look it over tomorrow. I am working on my turn signals. the schematic you sent me shows them having a frame ground. do you know if my 750 has frame grounds on the signals, or wire grounds? it looked like mine has wire grounds, but I am not sure thanks again

I am trying to work out some issues with my electrical system. I downloaded a manual from this site but the full schematic at the end of the electrical section is not legible. you can see the lines good enough, but you cant read any of the text. so you cant see any connector names, or wire...

I purchased an Electrosport Industries rotor from Parts Giant, it is testing at about 5.5 ohm. battery is still not charging, I have a voltage reg on its way, stater coil is testing fine, and even though the battery is not getting charged, since I installed the rotor the motor now cranks...

what is the "starter clutch diode/rectifier", and where is it located thanks for the help

1980 cb750k, where is the silicone rectifier located? is this part of the voltage regulator or a separate component? manual page 16-2, speaks of it as if its a separate component.

Have you known of anybody that has successfully rewound one of these coils themselves? doesn't seem that it would be too hard, IF you knew the wire dia,and number of wingdings. I have a good friend that is a chemist in the semi-conductor industry, he could spec. the potting compound for me.

just got done measuring the resistance on the rotor, 1.5 ohms plus or minus a tenth, bad rotor?
