The starter rebuilder reversed the polarity and now the starter is spinning clockwise and cranks the motor. Problem solved. Thanks for your post.

Forgot to ask you, which way should the starter turn? Should it not be CLOCKWISE to turn the starter driven gear counter clockwise?

I am of the opinion that is what my problem is, but I don't know until after the Rebuilder fixes the problem hopefully tomorrow. As long as there is no rain.
