I'd say 3600 is about what its worth if it was ride able. Now the key is figuring out how much it will take to get running. It may just need the carbs cleaned, or it could need a full rebuild. It was probably parked for a reason. I wouldn't pay more then 2800 for it. Even if it needs a...

1st bike need help in diving into build

Part it out, and buy a complete bike. In the long run you're gonna spend more money buying everything it needs. These bikes are CHEAP and it'll have the keys and title to boot! I just had one offered to me at $1500 that needed nothing.

    Advice on syncing carbs

I'm constantly adjusting my idle. As the engine warms, and the oil warms, I slowly turn the idle down when I'm at red lights. It always requires 1/8 to 1/4 turn up when I'm cold starting it.

    Petroleum or synthetic?

I use the cheapest oil I can find on my 72 CB750, and here's my logic behind it.... Think about what kind of oil was being produced in the 70's back when these bikes were produced. Even the cheapest oils these days are miles ahead of those grades of oil from the 70's and 80's. I think the...

Bike stored for 29 years - tips welcomed on engine oil flush and prep before startup

I wouldn't stress over the idle until you get a good sync on the carbs. My bike idles happily at 1200, and i rarely go below that.

    Let's see your CB750

I've had this bike 3 years, and it's been a blast to work on, and ride! This was taken 5 minutes from my house.

Love this bike! I'm so jealous of your exhaust, and paint. Is the paint original?
