ive owned several of these .when the day time ave is 90+ they just shut down ? vapor lock?engine so hot the fuel isnt atomizing?fiik,but she will just stop …..a stethoscope works wonders! how about the intake and exhaust valve clearance ?0.002 on the intake and 0.003on the exhaust.

im liking the cam chain,,, when the intake and exhaust valves are set to to spec ( intake .002in exhaust .003) pg47 clymers manual these engines sound like a Singer sewing machine . check your cam sprocket teeth and if all else fails it can only the cam chain OR a bad tooth on the crankshaft...
