HELP Engine clicking noise

I have an 84 Nighthawk 750 and I was running the bike yesterday no problems.

This morning I started it up and I heard a clicking noise coming from the engine. I thought it might just be cold so I let it idle for a while and took it out. The clicking just got louder as I accelerated and would die down cruising, my first thought was low oil? Or maybe a sticky valve?

Anyone had a similar problem?

Oil level is not something to ask question about, it's something you fix.

Hydraulic lifters in that one, dirty oil can do it.
