Frame and engine Vin don't match?

Hello, this is my first thread so please bare with me if I fall into any rookie traps.

I have what I believe is an 83' CBX750F (I'm in Norway) I got the bike disassembled and have slowly been putting it back together when I noticed a difference in the frame and engine Vin.

Engine Vin: RC17E - 2008696
Frame Vin: ZRC17E - 20086540 (or without the final 0, not too sure if it's a 0 or just a marking)

Is thus normal or should this raise some red flags?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.
