I ran into a deal on a 1979 CB750 10th anniversary Special Edition with 4,500 miles on it. It is in excellent shape but it hasn't been run in 6 years. It's been sitting in a garage since the owner passed away. The widow wants to sell it and would like around $1,000 for it. Any advice on what's it's worth & what I should look for/expect with a bike that's been sitting 6 years. Thanks in advance.

You will have to stick some $$ into the carbs to get it running half way decent. They carbs were junk from new and after sitting for that many years you will have to go through them before you even attempt to see how well it runs. If it is in pristine condition it may be worth the money but this era of 750 will never bring the money the old sohc bikes will. You will have to do carb work guaranteed to get it running.
