I have a dead stator also but I have a new battery and able to ride just over 100 miles before I don't have enough juice for the electric starter to work. I can still ride further if I kick start it.
There are more then one way to do that. Base coat clearcoat could be done buy using a flat or satin clear. Or go to you local automotive paint store and buy flat or satin one stage paint. Bodda Bing Booda Boom!!!

Hey guys, the other day I ran my valves. In doing so I had 4 tappet covers which were extremely tight. Ended up using a chisel to knock them loose. By doing so I damaged them. Thay are usable but look like crap so I was wondering if anyone has 4 covers for sale. Or even a whole set. All help...
I just replaced the seal in the front brake caliper on my 71 CB 750. It is leaking. I have taken it apart twice and cleaned it and checked the O ring for tears ect. Is there something I am missing? Seems so simple but........
welcome....being a newby I suggest you invest in a Chilton manual at least. There are wiring diagrams available on line also. Research, research, research. Not that hard to find. Google google
sounds like maybe the oiled filters could actually be causing a choke situatuon or maybe they got wet when you washed it. Might try wiping the pods a little or drying them if they got wet.
If your rectifier is bad will that allow the battery to discharge on it's own? This is a stock rectifier. How does one trouble shoot a rectifier? Any help is greatly appreciated.....thanks
Sounds like the clutch discs are stuck together. Usually caused from sitting a while. They should break free after some usage. If not pull the clutch apart and separate them and put back together or replace all of the fiber discs. Ypu probably won't need to but that's up to you. Be sure and...
