I had a similar problem and fixed it by adjusting the spring/screw at the top of the caliper. That did most of it, but I still had some noise till I replaced the o ring in the caliper. Silence (for now)!

The upgrade worked fine. Voltmeter on low batt gave bad reading.

I did put in the regulator from low riders. It allowed the voltage to go over 17v when revved. This seems high. Any ideas?

The stock system is great, and I admire the elegance and simplicity of the system, but wanting to replace 40 year old components I am tempted to go modern.

Thank you. Could this ever lead to oil starvation, were the tank to drain down?

I have 72 k2 that I ride as I am fixing it up. Today when I checked the oil it wa almost a qt. low. I put some in, but it came up when I ran the bike. Whats going on?
