    I put an inline filter in the line but the bike died after riding around the corner. After I removed the filter, it ran fine.     I would call this a tachometer drive housing bolt. Have a look at "cmsnl.com" Take some time and I'm sure you will find this exact bolt on this web site. It has expandable parts diagrams. Could be an M5X25 (?) (I don't know the year of your bike.

    Maybe just a repeat of something already posted but I found a pretty good way to clean out the gas tank on a well maintained machine. If the tank has been left for a long time and looks pretty bad inside, I can't help you. On a good machine put a little gas in or leave what fuel is in it already...

    Sounds like a spring holding the roller has weakened or broken. The left engine cover must be removed and you will find your issue there.
