depend's on what kind of riding you do as city and highway differ. for combo mile's, thats not bad at all. bring it over and i'll help you go through it, it's not hard at all. or leave it with me for a weekend and i'll go through it for you.
maxi dwell is the name of the plate. i can't think of anybody remaking them off hand but they pop up every now and then. they are a sweet setup and real easy to set up. i have one sitting around for a project i'm gonna start on when i find time.
welcome to the site.
i'd give 300 if the motor turned and had a title. seeing your not into stockers, it's not a bad deal at 300. $750 with way too much though lol
yes but only one little problem, i don't ship parts. BUT if you stop over to my house (Marine City) you can have the case gaurds for free. i know i have a crash bar but i'm not sure where it's at. i have a couple trailers at the junk yard i keep bike parts.
there is a ad on Craigslist with a...
the gasket kit should include the oil seals and valve rubbers. there are no special tools for these motor. then again i'm a machanic so i have ton's of tools LOL.
i would replace the cam chain tensioner anyways.
if your gonna throw out your old case's, i will take them.
i always soak the float needle over night in oil and if they don't slide out easy, i use a spring style center punch to free them up. nothing worse than breaking offf the little mount on a good rack of carbs.
you'll most likely notice it wanting to stall right when you come to a stop. just a little blip of the throttle and it'll be fine but it does suck when your stuck in stop & go traffic LOL
i never understood that hole filling. my matic has 71-76 carbs, with pod's, with the hole and i never had a problem. i've rebuild other carbs with the hole's and never had a problem.
