    Gas Cap Removal (No key)

If you're still fighting this, I'll check the keys I have at home. I have two caps from my tanks and the matching keys. I'll check to see if the keys work in either cap. If so I'd be happy to send you one so you can give it a try.

After 10 years, this 1982 CB750 SC Nighthawk is running again - Intro/Progress

Clean vs dirty carb pictures: Before installing the carburetors back onto the bike, I took the opportunity to replace the choke cable, but I was too excited about how close I was to getting it running again, that I neglected to install the throttle cables. As much as I hated removing the carbs...

After 10 years, this 1982 CB750 SC Nighthawk is running again - Intro/Progress

Hey everyone I have made a few posts here and there but I haven't properly introduced myself. I live in the Austin, TX area and recently acquired a 1982 CB750sc Nighthawk for $400. It was in pretty rough shape, but I am stubborn and determined to clean her up and put her back into service...

Rounded 8mm bolt on drive sprocket cover

This is usually my go to method, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to get at the bolt without damaging the cover. I'm trying to figure out another solution before going that route.

Rounded 8mm bolt on drive sprocket cover

Before I drill it out or anything drastic, does anyone have any suggestions for removing a rounded out bolt on the drive sprocket cover? I just got this bike running and am trying to make it driveable but it apparently the Neanderthal of a PO ruined the bolt. It appears as if they tried to...

I'm looking for a set of carbs for a 1982 CB750sc Nighthawk. If you're willing to part them out I would be interested in just the #4 carb. Thanks

    82 Nighthawk gas tank compatibility

Well, didn't even need to strip it. Took off the tank emblem and the entire side almost caved in

    82 Nighthawk gas tank compatibility

That's what I'm hoping... gonna strip it down this evening and see what it looks like. There are all sorts of rust bubbles on both sides of the tank which makes me think its completely rusted through. See below. The inside of the tank is a whole other story... the liner is coming up and it...

    82 Nighthawk gas tank compatibility

Ugh... live and learn I guess. I'm dealing with one that appears to have had brake fluid sitting on it and has rusted pretty badly.
