For Sale - 1974 CB750K in Merced Ca

1974 CB750K Merced Ca $750 - SOLD SOLD Leaving post up so buyers can find my past posts about the bike. I just got a new bike and I don't really have room for 2 so I'm going to try and sell this one because the new one is nicer. I'm selling it dirt cheap. Why? Because I got it for free and...

    Anyone tried "Niche" batteries?

My research turned up that Niche is a fairly new company focusing on online reselling of motorcycle accessories, clothes, bags, etc. Batteries are a new thing for them and obviously someone else is making them for them and printing thier logo on the case but they are not forthcoming with that...

    Anyone tried "Niche" batteries?

Hey guys, I see AMC and Dirtdigger still answering everyone questions. I'm hoping you can answer mine. I need a new battery for a BMW and I'm looking at both the Yuasa and Niche. The price is the same and both are AGM type. Yuasa seems to have been around forever and Niche fairly new. The...

    Honda Civic Help anyone.

Naw, I've never paid to unlock all the extra goodies on the scan tool I bought at a garage sale. It's basically a glorified trouble code reader that can reset ecu's too. I checked the crank sensor, good 5v pulse. I checked the TDC sensor, also good 5v pulse. I checked the fuses, all good. I...

    Honda Civic Help anyone.

Different system. The car has 4 coils and no distributor. It uses sensors and a computer to decide when to spark each plug.

    Honda Civic Help anyone.

While I'm searching the web thought I'd drop a post here. I'm working on a 2005 Honda Civic. Cranks, won't start. It has done it a few times recently but usually turning the key off and back on again cured it but now it just won't start. No trouble codes current or pending. Battery is good I...

New Guy Here, Needing some help....

You keep saying the carbs haven't been synced, that's kinda the first step. Link below shows a tube. https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb750f-750-super-sport-1978-usa_model7240/partslist/F++09.html

New Guy Here, Needing some help....

To clarify this, the bike will idle at any temperature but.... …. the RPM at which the engine idles is directedly related to the temperature of the engine and the throttle position just like the (hypothetical) 2018 Chevy truck in your driveway. The only difference is the truck has a computer to...

    Veloandy's 1977 CB750F

Oh, and the 1/4" extension is for turning the plug socket because trying to do it with the cheap screwdriver is a bitch! There may have been a rod for it but you can see the tool kit is not 100% original.

    General Reliability for Daily Riding

My 74CB750 dumps excess current into the freaking battery! Every time I've had to replace a battery it's because all the fluid had boiled out. (I know this and should check it more often :()

    Trouble starting - many issues!

Sounds like some dirt made it through and into the main circuit. Probably have to drop and clean the carbs again :(

I doubt that toolkit will stay there. It needs something solid to support the weight so the Velcro only has to hold it in place. I notice right off 2 important things missing from your kit. Spare fuses and a plug socket! PS Great craftsmanship on that tool holder.

    Trouble starting - many issues!

Coils are usually replaced in sets so get that second one. Old ones are also famous for working fine when cold then failing when they get hot and they get pretty warm stuffed under the tank right over the engine. I would recommend new plug caps while your at it as they can go bad too. From what...

    plugs fouling

The pics are blurry in the exact area they need to be clear :( You say 1 or more float valves are not shutting the fuel off? This is what they do, if they aren't doing it, the are malfunctioning and this needs to be corrected. Do you have brass or plastic floats? The plastic floats can...

New Guy Here, Needing some help....

I see that small window in your pic is in exactly the same place as the stock one was, just fire it up and shine a timing light in there. Having the airbox off makes a lot of difference. Look at the multitude of posts about "airbox vs pods" you'll find here. I'm really surprised by your...

    Hello forums

Diving into the deep in of an empty pool blindfolded is not the best way to learn to swim. It looks like I'm too late but "DON'T DO IT!" Even if the bike was in perfect condition, it would be a poor choice to learn on and as far as old Hondas go, the DOHC is much more difficult to work with...

    Fresh '82 CB750 Build

I really prefer the stepped seat to the flat ones. #1 It keeps my butt from sliding on/off the seat under hard acceleration. #2 It raises the passenger up a bit so it's easier for her to see past you and it provides her with a thicker, softer seat. #3 (This is an odd one) The standard 6 hook...

Post a photo of your girlfriends, um, seating area, and we'll let ya know. (I could not keep a straight face while typing that LOL) j/j OK, serious now. Having a passenger totally goes against the "café racer" theme. Racing seats aren't for sitting on, they are padded areas you brace your...

    plugs fouling

But, how does it run? I went back and read through this thread. All this started after replacing the rings? If a plug fouls from running too rich, what usually happens is unburnt fuel builds up on the plug until the spark flows through liquid instead of air. You remove the plug and can...

    Fresh '82 CB750 Build

Dude, in the house! Okay, I once parked my bikes in the kitchen but... Buy a sheet or two of 3/4" sanded plywood to lay on the floor and put the bike on. When your done, you can use the wood for shelves or a work bench. 2k investment and your going to put that crap wiring in it? Buy a new...
