    Is it worth it?

Found a pristine looking 79’ CB750k in the classifieds for about $600 with 11k miles (non running) and a clean title. Money’s kinda tight right now but man is she pretty...I think I’d name her Veronica. What would you guys do? I know its gonna need a thorough going through at the least

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

Still short on time, have to grab a generator to run my welder now. Still out on the road driving trucks. Was in process of building seat pan and boxing out the frame around the rear shocks. Things left to do are seat pan, seat upholstery, lights, battery box, and paint. Also, need to...

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

No update as of now, I started to mock up the seat pan and box out the triangular parts around the spring mounts, but haven't had a lot of time since then. I did just get a garage to finish the project in as I've been using my pop's house for now and he works out of it so...also just changed...

    Exhaust Mods

I took the baffles out of my 92' CB750 nighthawk and it sounded crappy and ran crappy too. It was definitely louder, but not the right kind of loud that shows off your bike, rather the kind that makes people think "look at this idiot". Get a performance pipe, definitely worth the investment and...

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

Thanks AMC. Definitely good advice and a lot of things that I did not think about. The frame originally did not connect at the back, rather it was just the two seat rails jutting out with the tabs you now see welded together in the back, the only thing back there holding it all together was that...

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

Tank is now on and I just got the rear seat rail exactly how I want it. Looks kinda stick huh? I didn't wanna use the hoop as I'll be putting a fender on the back and really wanted the lines to look right...

Cafe Racer Build from stock 1978 Honda CB 750F

Search on here for a fabrication shop that will set that front end up for you. They will take it and make a custom fit stem that works perfect. I believe they include new bearings and everything else you need too. Unless you are a master fabber, I would leave that part to the pros, after all you...

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

Ok, I abandoned the welding gas tank part of the project. I ended up just taking a ball peen hammer to the underside of the tank and babied the metal in to where it needed to be an 1/8th inch or so to clear the downtube. Am now fabbing up the brackets to hold the tank on. I ground down the old...

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

Update, have been messing with bike as time allows. Tank I am fitting does not fit exactly right. The problem is that I want the bottom line of the tank to flow with the seat rail of the frame and the bottom of the tank hits the top down tube of the frame. I beed roughly a quarter inch more...

    1992 Air Filters

I do not have experience running pods but am in also in the process, I have a 92 Nighthawk 750. I grabbed some of those Emgos and then found out they restrict some of the throttle vacuum ports on the carbs by completely blocking them and just traded them in for some k&n's. Am gonna see how they...

'92 Nighthawk Cafe Racer build / Fuel tank compatibility questions

I grabbed a k series tank from the junkyard and it was super close. Looks awesome on the bike (92' cb750 Nighthawk) lines flow very well, but it hits the top frame downtube and I have to cut it and channel it. Not wanting to practice on my good tank, I grabbed a crap tank off of a mid 90s Katana...

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

Awesome. I never knew that. I figured (with little thought) that it was a just a made up style to emulate the Triumph Scrambler (of which I don't know what looks like) lol. Thanks buddy.

    1993 NH Scrambler Build

Definitely worth it. I was looking at the Steel Dragon setup for intake to the carbs. I believe the unit uses one plenum for intake (maybe two) and input?

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

Ha, yeah thanks bud. I figured this lesson out the hard way like the natural knucklehead I am. I'm pretty much balls deep now though. I was thinking about a two carb setup I saw on here or I also just found a nice mod on the Nighthawk forums to use one filter to maintain constant velocities...

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

Lol, indeed. I'm just going for the look. Not really sure what the "point" of a scrambler is or what it is supposed to be, feel, look like, or evoke a sense of and frankly don't care. All is good and fun my friend. Didn't know this bike was that heavy either. Wow, I woulda guessed like 450 or so.

1992 CB750 Scrambler Build (first time builder)

I started pulling my bike apart about three months ago and haven't had time to get back to it with school and work. I have a 92' CB750 Nighthawk that I was given for free (can't beat that). Bike was pristine with 50k miles on the clock having taken a few trips to Arizona by my uncle. I rode it...

    1993 NH Scrambler Build

What tires did you use? I'm thinking about grabbing some and yours look very cool. I am also doing a scrambler with a 92' Nighthawk. Also, I noticed you using the K & N filters, do the run ok? I am looking for a replacement to those crappy Emgo pods and don't want to invest in a dual carb setup...
