1979 cb750 Limited Rear Wheel Size Question

Howdy, I need new tires for my 1979 cb750 10th Ann. Limited. I need some help to figure out where I can find out what the largest size (width) tire I can put on is. The OEM tire sizes are: Front: 3.25-19 | Rear: 4.00-18 Thanks!

    Where to start?

I finally started working on this. I removed the head cover and found that the timing chain is missing. I am trying to figure out why it was removed and if the chain in the pictures that was hanging was purchased new. It looks ok, but has just a little bit of surface rust on a few links...

    Where to start?

I was wondering about that too. I'll have to take the valve head cover off (I think that's where it is, right?) and check it out.

    Where to start?

Howdy - I recently acquired a '79 cb750 limited from my uncle and I couldn't be happier about it. He told me he "hasn't ridden it in 15 years, but I've probably been saying that for 15 years." He's right - the tabs are from '87. The outside looks ok, if a bit (OK, a lot) dirty. I want to do...

    Let's see your CB750

I don't know if the gas was drained. I saw the fuel was off so maybe it was. There is gas in the tank, however. That will be a mess, I'm sure. I have Suzuki gs750 that I tore apart last winter. I've got some experience now, but am surely not an expert. I learned I need to read first, wrench...

How do I remove the seat and gas tank?

Howdy - I just yesterday acquired a '79 cb750 limited. I can't figure out how to remove (or lift) the seat to get at the gas tank so I can remove it? I looked through the shop manual, but couldn't find the info in there. I'm thinking I should buy a Clymer manual which should have the info...

    Let's see your CB750

Howdy - I just got this '79 cb750 limited yesterday. My uncle had it in a storage barn nearly 30 years - the tabs on it are from '87. One pic is shows how dirty it was. The other is after washing it a bit.
