Please help identify my CB750 :-)

    Hmmm....I have a 78 750K, but engine is just an E....

Please help identify my CB750 :-)

Aren’t all the engines marked “E” regardless of F, K models? I completely glossed over the fact they were different years - too much cough syrup LOL

Please help identify my CB750 :-)

From what I’ve heard and read, you’ll never get matching frame/engine numbers because of Honda’s QC practice of pulling random engines from the assembly line to test.

Can you help identify this bike?

It looks like a Nighthawk without the side covers

    Carb attachment

Putting them on “straight” - all four at once - sounds logical, but I’ve always done it one at a time. Start by attaching to #1, tighten clamp enough to hold in place, then the same with 2, 3, 4. You will need to wiggle and finess as you go but can fine tune everything into place once all four...

    Carb attachment

I first thought you were having trouble attaching the airbox to carbs, that’s why I asked Now it sounds as if you’re trying to attach the box and then put the whole assembly on - am I miss reading that?

Are the carbs already on the bike? Are the air side boots in the air box or on back of the carbs?

1980 CB750F Ignition Housing - Oil seeping in

I get a drip from there if I let it (‘78 CB750K) idle on the side stand - been wondering about this myself.

    78-80 Swap

If the mounts are the same, I don't see why not. You'll have to probably do an a$$ ton of other swaps as well (wiring) but you're running the entire unit not trying to switch internals.

I suppose. Two almost identical "one offs" just seems like something involving conspiracy theories, not chopper gas tanks. LOL

    Let's see your CB750

Saw this at Vintage Motorcycle Days today. Owner had zero clue as to the make of the tank - said it was only one he'd ever seen ("...and I've scoured the Internet." [emoji849]) Do you know? They're pretty cool, and I'm curious.

    Alternative Kick-Stand Options for 1980 cb750k

I felt the same way so I always used the center stand. When I tore the bike down recently, I discovered the "bolt tab" on the kickstand was bent. Straightened it in a vise and it stands taller like it should.

    Wiring Gurus Wanted!

Ok - so my "put the old one back" was 1/2 right! Swapped the original electronics (left) for the new (right) in the new key housing - problem solved!

    Wiring Gurus Wanted!

    Wiring Gurus Wanted!

Having some minor issues with wiring connections that have me (and others) stumped. 1. Oil light stays lit even when wire is disconnected from crankcase oil sensor. 2. Rear light works as brake light and when key is switched to "P", but not as a running light. All solutions lie behind the...
