So I've got a 79 and I'm trying to hook up an aftermarket speedo. It has a red and a black wire but I'm not sure where to hook those up to. Is it something on the front wheel? Or somewhere in the battery?

The rear wheel is exactly like the front, just the rear is 17'' and the front is 19''. A lot of the '80s that I've seen have the same rim style as mine, and the rest of the bike matches almost 100% minus the paint and a few extras that I took off for the cafe/street fighter look. As for teh 70...

The Marvel Mystery Oil isn't like motor oil I don't think. So the smoke coming from it is from the valves being too close? Or the petro chem burning? If it's the burning, is that safe or should I look into the leak?

Hey guys, here's a pic of my bike when I got it. I'm told it's a 1979, but the more I get into my build, it looks like a 1980. Can anyone tell me for sure what year it is?

Also, as for the gas leak, it's difficult to pinpoint but I'll look a little better when I'm out of class

The lubrication is Marvel Mystery Oil. The red stuff. I know that since the gas nowadays is unleaded it needs lubrication to run through the motor, and I just thought that maybe the smoke was coming from the gas being dry in the motor.

Are there wider forks that fit on the cb750 that are not Honda? I'm having some trouble finding '81 or newer forks.

Hey guys so my 79 has a real tiny gas leak. Pretty sure it's from one of the carbs, but not 100%. Any tips as to where it is and how to fix it? Also, recently, my bike has had some smoke coming from around where the exhaust meets the engine. Does that happen when there isn't enough lubrication...

Do the 81 forks fit on the DOHCs? Also, is this just the front or is it on the back as well?

I'm looking at 16x3 wheels for the front and back of the '79 cb750. The tires I'm thinking of are 5.00-16. Would they fit?

Will a 16x3 rim with a 5.00-16 tire fit on the front? Or do I need new forks?

I have a 1979 CB750K. Stock. I wanna replace the front tire which I believe is 100 90-17 and the one I'm looking at replacing it with is 150 80H-17. Will this tire work on the front or do I have to find another 100 90-17? Thanks :):cool:
