    I had one buddy helping me the other night we almost got them all set but it was just a handful for the two of us so I'm getting another buddy and gonna try tackling it with 2 helpers, definitely going to try the hose lamps and see if that makes it any easier, will post back with results!

    Measured the gap and they seem to be on par with the manuals spec...stock size Pistons with a fresh hone.

    I have pods on mine and she runs like a champ! That being said they were on it when I bought the bike so I couldn't really help you out on personal experience, I know there's a chart somewhere that goes in depth about how much to go up and down in jet size in relation to mods, exhaust, etc

    ok good to know..... now i know you said the earlier models don't use anything around the holes unlike how the 75 used those thick gaskets. But now the guy i bought it from said ill need different orings for the oil seals between the head and the cylinder, is he wrong and i just use nothing...

    Ya I have to pull it, broke a bolt when I put the cylinder head back on so I have to take it to a machine shop or pick up a new one if they can't fix it

    i got an offer for one thats been hot tanked and bead blasted with a fresh hone on it for $100 off a '72 so i might take it. You're talking about these right? do the earlier ones take regular Orings instead?

    Looking to replace the cylinder jug off my 1975 K5, are all SOHC jugs interchangeable or do i need the exact year and submodel top match. Theres a bunch on eBay but only like two from 1975.

    So i was putting the head back together after installing the new cylinder head gasket and o rings, was torquing everything to spec and this one just snapped (bolt number 22) idk why possibly due to old age? anyways i ordered a new one and i have one of those speed out bits to get the thread...

    Compared to the new ones the pucks did feel slightly harder, and when i disassembled the head one did come out with it so I'm not sure if it was loose or just stuck to it. The gasket set i bought was an Emgo set haven't opened those yet but they don't seem hard or cheap though ill keep that in...

    So I ordered a complete gasket set and last night I tore open my motor because I had what seemed to be an oil leak between the two middle cylinders. Ive done some research and I'm assuming the leak is being caused by the black rubber pucks, if anyone else has any other ideas feel free to inform...

    So earlier today I went outside and started my bike up to let her warm up before I left. I came back outside maybe 10 minutes later, sometimes my throttle sticks unless I turn it all the way down, I think its the grips I have on, so therefore when i came back the bike was idling a little high...

    Hey everyone! Glad to be here!

    So I pulled off the cover the other day and it seems that the spring was a little worn, I ordered a new one but in the mean time i just adjusted the clutch at the bars nice and tight and it seems back to normal, so I'm assuming it was the springs age, thanks for the advice on pulling off the cover!
