    High idle run on backfiring.

Figures. I just don't like dealing with butterfly screws. Tx.

    High idle run on backfiring.

I have a good set of the 1979 DOHC Limited carbs that have been cleaned, not ultrasonic, in good shape. Over jetted for 4 to 2 exhaust, everything else stock. Sea level. Jets, bowl gaskets, plugs, mixture screw O-rings, float needles replaced. Have not split them for the air cut off diaphragm...

1979 CB750, Carb, float height, run on

Thanks, while I've got the carbs off I'll do the boots. Do the rubber plugs in the carbs have anything to do with it? It seems as if it is a sloshing gas thing, as the idle at speed is ok. It only surges when you hit the brakes to stop.

1979 CB750, Carb, float height, run on

I set the floats at 15-16mm, they were around 19-21mm. Waiting for fuel screw O-rings and will re-install. What do you think about the 105 jet with the 4 into 2 hardly any baffle exhaust?

1979 CB750, Carb, float height, run on

Hey all, odd issue I think is carb related. Bike pops occasionally at fast idle, but general runs well with stock air and 4 into 2 with basically no baffles. Mains 68 and 105. At speed, say 30mph, if you let off the throttle, pull in the clutch completely, revs go down to idle fine. Still...

    Right front turn signal on

Turns out both left and right front turn signals are supposed to be half on for running lights. It was actually the left bulb that was half out. Replaced it, and things are normal. Both on when the key is on.

    Right front turn signal on

Anybody seen this? When I turn the key on to start, the right front turn signal comes on and stays on. All turn signals work when activated, brake lights work fine. When key is in park, turn signal is off. Low mileage bike, very clean. Any ideas? Thanks.
