    My CB750F Supersport 1982 wont pass 5000rpm.

Both bikes with the same problem apparently... but different style carbs if both are stock. Are they stock carbs? Have you done a thorough cleaning of the carbs?

    won't stay idling

By the way... I was cleaning the garage today and came across a Carbtune I used a couple of times, once on a CB900C and once on an SOHC 750. I have no use for it anymore and will let it go for $80 shipped to the lower 48. If interested I'll get it rounded up and provide pictures.

    won't stay idling

If the bike runs kind of okay, just won't idle, I'd run a tank with sea foam before taking carbs apart to clean or replace jets. Easy p0easy and you could get lucky.

    Can't remove spark plug.

Yeah, like dirtdigger pointed out, that's most likely the problem. I forgot that I use very thin sockets and again as dirtdigger mentioned, the stamped tool that came with the bike is very thin as well. You'll get it... just remember "patience" is sometimes key in working on these old bikes.

    Removing Front Sprockets

Sorry if I'm totally off base here, but the front sprocket bolts look like they'll come out easily with an offset box end wrench... looks like a 10mm from where I sit. I've not had a 750A so don't know just how buried the sprocket is, so I may be full of beans. Disclaimer: I also have no idea...

    Can't remove spark plug.

Any chance that this one might have a larger hex and you just need a larger socket? Nothing else but debris comes to my feeble mind.

Early 72 ignition switch! WHERE ARE YOU!!!!

I assume you fixed the loose connection and don't need one now. If you do, there's a chance I have one from a '71... but I have a potential buyer coming midweek to buy all my 750 stuff, so I won't know until after that if it's available or not. Easiest, quickest, and cheapest seems to be fix...

    1972 CB750four Cafe/brat build

Yeah, that always makes a difference. You never know who's been into these old bikes, so makes you feel better just knowing what went on. Still a nice looking ride.

    Vetter Windjammer Value????

Like I said, then.... I get them for $25. You may be lucky and find someone who will pay lots more.

    Vetter Windjammer Value????

I've bought and sold several windjammers. Have never spent more than $25, including at least two with sound systems... sound systems didn't work, but I really didn't want them anyway, only the housing. I sold the sound system housings separately and got $25 for one and $60 for the other...

New kid on the block, just saying Hey!

Darn... I remember back in '71 laying my '71 750 down in the hills on the way to Roanoke. Wasn't the best of days for me, but nothing serious.

Here's a link to a manual... you may have to register on the forum to view it, although some have told me that they didn't have to do that: http://www.cb750c.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=5

What model bike? Maybe we can direct you to an online manual.

Help please: Recently bought 78 won't start

You haven't mentioned anything about the spark plugs... easy to check and pretty important. New plugs might help.

What is the thing bolted to the carb???

I'm guessing it's the vacuum activated fuel shutoff (or turn on) valve.
