    1978 (my bike '78 CB750K) was 'last year' of straight tanks, before honda started "dropping" them. check out photo's of 1978 to 1979. you would have to compensate for height and frame distance/drop and custom modify a "insert plate adjustment mount" if I can say it that way. my2cents hope it...

    Bleeding properly it the trick Bleed like a car, farthest first. On my 78 CB750K, just did the same. Lucky for me I have a "Clymer" repair manual for the 1969-1978. After filling (by hand) your brake "hose" with fluid, so it flows freely out of the caliper bleeding bolt at bottom, tricky to...

    agree, check (graph) coils for continuous power at plugs at all times, unburned fuel, more fowling, catch 22... just2cents Lar

    had help cleaning my carbs, 3 different shops and friend builds street hot rods (eats, sleeps, dreams carbs and engines) gunk from old gas cleared, jets "rodded", new needles, new gaskets, re-set float heights, and yes - tapping (gently most of the time) each float bowl still have problem...

    Kool, I bought my first bike, '78 CB750K new, it's been sitting garaged last 35 years. Laid it down, didn't get replacement parts back then (family first). NOW, I too am restoring it to ride again. Larry
