    I don't disagree you shouldn't use sealant here, but I think my alternative is to swap the oil pan out, and this is quickly becoming a ride til it dies bike with how much shit that has been improperly.

    I'm leaking oil from the drain plug - previous owner had two non oem washers and a bunch of liquid sealant there. I replaced with a Honda washer and no liquid sealant, thinking everything would be okay, but it's leaking now. Does anyone else add sealant to the drain plug?

    Does this nut look normal? It's also an odd size, threaded on the inside, and there doesn't appear to be any planes of contact between it and the oil filter housing.

    The housing for my oil filter appears to be all kinds of messed up. Where there should be a 17mm nut, there is something in between 1/2" and 12mm, and I can't see how it is supposed to spin.     The thing is there is a problem getting the tool in, but on the intake side only. I have no issue on the intake, but it seems like it's time to do what I can this time and then run the bike into the ground.

    Not a problem with the shims, there was not enough actual clearance to get the tool in. I've managed to get the tool in partways, depress the buckets a bit, stick a screwdriver in the gap, and remove and reinsert the tool to remove the shims now.
