Need to sell my 1979 CB750 custom café. I have well over $3000 into bike, its 90% done. Divorce and sale of my house has put me in this predicament. I did all the work myself, custom powdercoated frame, powdercoated engine covers. Rebuilt engine fro pistons up. Custom Carpy pipe and tail. ZX7...
Thanks for the help. I will be tearing it down completely so no seals, gaskets or rubber will be in the curing oven. I just figured while it was torn down its a good time to paint.
I'm no expert but I just got my hands on a 79 CB750 and found a complete rolling chassis from a 1990 ZX7. The complete front end bolted right in. Rear tire also went right on. I'm now trying to figure out how to mount the caliper on the rear swing arm?
I am tearing down my new 79 CB750, going for a cafe style rebuild. I would like to powder coat the entire engine (I have a buddy with shop who will give me a deal) Will I have any issues powder coating the cyls? Someone told me they may warp when curing the powder? (400 deg oven)
Thanks, Chris
I am doing the same thing but with a 1979, I noticed "vintagecb750.com" only sells parts for the SOHC (up to 1978) Does anyone know where to get wiring harness for the DOHC bikes?
