Houston, we have ignition! After a carb cleaning and a rebuild on the fuel shutoff valve, the 750 runs. Now it's time to re-do the timing and clean the vacuum fuel shutoff valve.

I think the tanks and seats will interchange. The 79 & 80 engines use point ignition while the 81 & 82 use electronic. That also means a different wiring harness.

I've checked the wires and all 4 are good. I'm looking into finding a known good CDI spark unit. Even my Honda dealer says there is no good way to check a CDI unit for good or bad. "Just replace it with a new part". At $180 apiece it's an expensive "maybe it'll work" test.
