I have k7 and k8 engines. The SOHC4 Owners Club lists that the last 2 years of the sohc engines were internally the same as the f engines( latest improvements). I do not think they shared the same carb specs -jets/pilots , they may be good starts for performance upgrades -without the smog carbs.

Backwards? I have rear sets w/ the factory shifter shortened and turned 180 degrees . Hence one up -neutral- 4 down. I do not take offense, but appreciate any input. I have accurately counted the shifts up/down, as well as the readouts on the factory tach and speedo. Almost doubt my own sanity...

My 78 750k (9500 mi). will engage all gears setting on the stand manually, engine not running. Put it on the street under load and no 5th gear engagement. There are no funny noises or vibrations. Goes to 4th gear and stops ,push as hard as you want ,goes no further. Any body experienced this...
