    Let's see your CB750

Here's an updated pic of my "HondaHa" 1974 CB750 SOHC with a front end from a '81 XS650 including the 64 spoke wheel, caliper, disc, fender and forks. The update is the 64 spoke wheel and the floating / drilled disk.

    CB750 K5 Restoration

grepper, The shape of the carb to airbox tubes is critical as they are actually velocity stacks and the carbs will not work properly unless they have their original shape. Makes a big difference. If you can't get the shape right, then source some new OEM's. Do not even think of using pods as...

    Need tire advice

Yea, Bridgestone Spitfires are what I use on all my bikes. Just be sure to ask the vendor for the date of manufacture code as tires have a 7 year shelf life but they take forever to get through the distribution system to the end user. Two years to delivery to the end user is the norm. Be...

    Plugs for Pamco

Grepper, I tried a variety of plugs in my '74 CB750 with a PAMCO and eventually came back to the stock plugs. You can, however, open up the gap to .035 with the "Ultimate" coil for a little better performance and better gas mileage.

    pod filters

lelocp, You are wasting your time. The carbs will only work properly with the stock air box and filter.

    CB750 K5 Restoration

Well, for the purists, this will blow their mind. Here is a pic of my "HondaHa" '74 CB750 with a front end from a Yamaha '82 XS650, including the 64 spoke wheel, brake caliper, forks, rotor and fender. The brake caliper on CB750's is not a good design and is reflective of Hondas last minute...

Noob here. Just bought a CB750 that has not been run for a few years.

DouginIa, 1. Do not try to start until you have drained and removed / cleaned the carb bowls to prevent the gunk from being sucked into the smaller passages of the carb. 2. Remove and clean the gas tank. 3. Replace the gas lines and filter, if it has one. 4. Replace the air filter. 5. Drain the...

    Top end rebuild question

Well, my '81 CB750 Custom with only 39,000 Miles ran out of timing chain adjustment, so after looking at the cost and hassle of replacing the chains, I opted instead to buy a "new" engine on Ebay. Found a winner that was still in the frame of a Custom that had been stored in a garage since 1995...

    What's your best MPG???

'74 SOHC 38 MPG around town with stock carbs and jets, stock air box and a PAMCO ignition.

    open pipes and pod filters

Well, I tried to get pods to work on my '74 K-4 and it was a mess. If you look closely at the rubber couplings between the carbs and the air box you will see that they are mini velocity stacks. I put the stock air box back on with new OEM rubber couplings between the carbs and the air box...

    Let's see your CB750

dirtdigger, Well, I got the spare set of forks when I bought the '81 XS650 a few years ago. They were in perfect shape and I still don't know why the PO included them in the deal, so having a free set of XS650 forks and knowing what they were like because I have a XS650 is why I ended up...

    Let's see your CB750

Well, I was unhappy with what I consider a harsh ride on my '74 CB750K-4 due to the stiff forks, so I decided to install a set of forks from a Yamaha XS650 because I have an '81 XS650 and I think the ride is smoother. Here is the result...my HondaHa: The forks, wheel and brake caliper and...

    Let's see your CB750

Well, I got two CB750's. A '74 CB750K-4 and a DOHC '81 CB750C: I know, the CB750 Custom looks like an old mans bike. Backrest....windshield....poor mans highway pegs....cargo rack with removable lock box...etc. But I like it. The back rest slides all the way back to the lock box so me and my...
