I just paid $1100 us for a 1982 CB750C with 40k miles in decent shape that runs good (took a little seafoam to run right). I think that price would be OK if the guy had the bike running good and it truly was in mint condition. However, you are taking a big gamble without being able to test ride it.

There is no such thing as good and cheap in this department. The HF pipe bender will kink the material without a lot of extra effort to prevent it. It would be more cost effective if you had a shop make that piece for you than spending $1500 on a good tube bender for one part.

Pods will suck in the rain water and make the bike run like crap. I have that issue. I'm going to fabricate a rain shield for them and see if that fixes it.

If you are going to make a claim of being ripped off, it usually helps to include details.
