    Speedo & Tach Model Year Interchangeability Question

    I'm working on re-habbing a '71 CB750. The bike currently does not have a tach and the speedo looks a little dicey. Are tachs and speedos interchangeable at all between model years? Since it may take me a while to find / afford 1971 tach & speedo, can I use ones from later years at all?

    Yeah, the pipes look like a pair of homemade 2 into 1s. Either that or they're some other model's stock set or an aftermarket set from who knows where. What makes you say the cylinder block isn't a factory one? Other than being painted it looks the same as others I've seen in photos.
