    Thanks Dave, I ended up having to buy another head just to take that part off. $200 mistake, but fixable. Having a spare head can't hurt. Thanks for the reply and picture.

    Tachometer drive housing

    I'm in desperate need. In taking my motor on the frame of a 1979 F series. I broke where the tachometer cable connects to the valve cover. Any wisdom is greatly appreciated. Is this a fixable part or is it apart of the block? Can I just seal it off and screw the tachometer?
