I guess my tank rusted through near petcock, pin size hole. Is this fixable?
Another question the bike is an 81 cb750f and wondering what yr/model tanks will fit.
too much oil?
can a bit too much oil cause a knock? it knocks only in certain rpms when riding (that i can hear)
i put 4.5 qrts in and it is past the oil safe zone on the dipstick about 3/4 inch
my 81 cb750F runs great, then change the oil (Valvoline 10-40) suddenly sounds like rod knocking. like it might throw one in the next 50 miles.
what the heck. could it be that it doesnt like the oil???
not sure about the spacers yet, currently awaiting my manual ordered from amazon but yes i have a cotter pin in place although for some reason my axle seems to be too long for the cotter pin to reach the nut all the way so i am suspicious that i may be missing a spacer. however i know the nut...
Axle lose
I have a similar issue. My axle on the right side wont stay in place. pretty sure ive torqued the crown nut past recommended torque and it still slides around when braking and accelerating. anybody know of a fix for this? :banghead: :mad:
I just bought this (81)
Wondering if there are older more vintage looking tanks that will fit with minimal fab. This ones rusted inside and needs replacing anyway
