Nearing the end of this 81 Cafe build

That is a seat off ebay intended for the GL1000. Cost was a little under $300 with shipping included. Didn't keep it long or ride it much but it seemed a good seat. I will probably order another one for the GL i am currently working on. The only modification I made to adapt it was two bars about...

Need Help identifying the year for this Junker soon to be my next build

I once had a K2 but haven't worked with any of the later years of the SOHC bikes. It has a triangular oil tank which looks to be late model. Carbs were later type as well. Does anyone know the serial number sequence? CB750k-2825257 ? I will be replacing a lot of parts and hate to order any parts...

Nearing the end of this 81 Cafe build

This project started with several boxes of parts and an empty frame. The PO had worked on the frame and had the wheels redone with new tires. The engine was untouched and all the parts were jumbled together in boxes. I have been working about a month sorting and assembling. I cleaned and painted...

Need Help identifying the year for this Junker soon to be my next build

Bike came with a tank from an 80-81 DOHC Custom and I am not sure about the wheels, front forks and rotors. Maybe original, maybe an earlier customize attempt. Help identifying it is appreciated. CB750k - 2825257

just picked up a '74 CB 750 four and need some help getting started on restoring her

A complete redo of an old bike is a big project, often people start with great enthusiasm, tear it all apart then about the time it is spread all over the work area, become overwhelmed by the extent of the mess and begin to doubt their ability to finish it. My personal rules are --one project at...

    Let's see your CB750

Old bikes are like lost puppies, who can resist taking them home? This is no worse than several others I have taken on. The engine turns freely and most of the parts are present. Hope to get started on it as soon as I finish the '81 I am reworking. It was in really nice shape-just totally...

750 HondaMatic to Manual Conversion .... Is it Possible ????

Someone who has more experience will be along shortly but I am pretty sure you would be ahead to swap engines (or bikes). I believe the cases are entirely different.

Easter is back (OK that is my name and my handle) and I am new to this site

I am a regular on the Naked Goldwing site but I like old CBs also and have both a single overhead and a double overhead in my shop for resuscitation. I have a personal rule that I usually obey, to take on one project at a time. My '81 CB750k is nearing completion and should be back on the road...
