White Seat?

This guy is selling this 1981 CB 750 custom with a white seat that he swears is original to the bike. Said it was a custom order and it cost $400 more as an option.The stitching looks original so I’m thinking that maybe it was a spray dye job. Tell me what you think.

It could be a replica of the original black vinyl, but in white. If original, then the bike would have been cared for since it rolled off the lot enough to keep that vinyl in good shape, and the body of the bike, then, ought to be damn near perfect.
 
The original seat covers were molded, not stitched. Should be easy to see if the stitches are thermo plastic molded or not. removing the seat will show how it is fastened to the pan. There should be signs of whether a cover was removed or not. Same with the chrome trim, should be signs of whether it has been removed and refitted. Vinyl paint........look under the seat.
