What did you do to your cb750 today???

Ok don’t laugh to much. Yesterday I bought a(1980 cb750custom) 100.00 dollars why not? Hasn’t been registered since 2011.
Better than it going to scrap yard.
Took tank off and looked under it and the tank said 80 cb650c. Wtf? So started researching the vin number and it started rc01 which I think is not a cb750c but a cb750k. lol the rear brake is frozen but luckily I hit it with starting fluid and a jump pack and it has fire. Going to be a fun and challenging project.
Hope is all with everyone

The motor has fire the rear brake is still frozen lol

Finished upgrading my brake lines to stainless. Also installed a set of Hagon rear shocks. When I removed the OEM shocks, they would compress but not expand, so it was time.

Bought a centre stand for my '77 CB750F1 then discovered that some muppet has ground off the mounting brackets from the frame!! not impressed!

This is what I found after removing and dropping the bowls from my garage find that hasn’t been registered since 2011.
lol this is going to be fun and interesting.
But compression test was ok 128 or so and will probably be a little better when tested warmed up and the mmo has a chance to work in the cylinders
Hope everyone is having a great weekend

Got into the low 60s earlier in the week, so I got in the last ride of the season. Beautiful day. Was able to try out the new shocks. Much better.

Centre stand brackets welded back onto the frame, seem to work as they should, next the spring mount.
Blasted off some small parts in the blast cabinet ready for painting.

Found a mostly complete mounting kit for a the Honda Sport Fairing for my CB750. Decided to try and put an OEM fairing on the bike instead of modifying an aftermarket version. Now I just need to find a fairing that isn't beat up and cracked, and start piecing everything together. Looks like the CB750F, CB900F, and CBX fairings might be the same for the 81-83 years, just different mounting hardware? Merry Christmas y'all!

Wifey kept smelling gas around and near the 750.

Ended up the petcock was seeping, so remove the tank, gonna either find some new o-rings around here, or order some.

I have a small drawer full of them, hopefully, I'll find the ones I need.
