Anyone got any tips for welding fenders so that they don't crack again in the same place ?
I have to weld stuff for a living, although usually much thicker materials.
Every time I weld a mudguard (fender) the crack usually returns within six months or so.
I've tried adding a doubler on the underside to spread the stress.
That seems to work a little better, but still not what I'd call a permanent repair.
