VIN plate on frames neck

I've picked up a nice 1970 CB750 but its missing the vin plate tag on the frame neck.
I found some online but wasn't sure what side of the neck it goes on.
Or did they not have neck tags on the early K's?

My F1 has the vin plate on the top of the right hand frame tube just above the exhausts, if you look carefully at this area you may find two small holes where the rivets would have been to hold the vin plate in place. I believe the earlier ones had the vin plate higher up in the area of the neck.
