Hi I have read a few posts on here about people having a few problems with valve shim fitment. I can now go on the list. I am trying to fit one of the shims for no2 cylinder exhaust and my tool seems to be preventing it going back in.
Can I remove and re align my tool with the shim missing so I can fit the shim.
Thanks

It’s best to keep the tool in place when taking out and putting the shim back. The technique of listening for the pop (out of alignment) should prevent the shim being difficult to put back.
