Hello to all Honda lovers,

I need some help, I am looking for a cb750f sohc for a rebuild and stumbled over this listing a few days ago.
The seller is asking 2.2K€ for this beauty. The engine is turning and seems to have compression.

I would like to see this machine in person, but I dont know if it is worth it.
He has listed this bike as a private seller but it seems like he has a few :/.

I will do everything on my own on a bike except paint jobs.

Can anybody tell me if this is a fair price in germany?
If not what is this bike worth in Germany?

Thank you very much!
Best Regards, Germany

Fwiw..id say worth looking at
The F model sells for less than earler K sohc here..
(Good runners in Oz could be had for 6 to 8KAUD)....
If there any other sohc listed in Germany...?
That could be the best benchmark.

Edit...there are a few things on that bike that are not standard..e.g. the rear end missing the cowel/?modified... but you probably know that....

Well I've found another F1 from 78 in a good condition for 5.3K.

Exactly, could you point me out to other things that I should look out for, do you think the rear was cut?

Another thing that is worrying me is the sweating head, I have heard that new gaskets are thicker than oems at least on this model, so even if it is changed it will leak internally on some seals sooner or later, is that true?

Thank you very much really appreciate answering that quick 👍

Hi my experience with the sohc is limited i have a dohc, but had a F2sohc some years ago ....dont know bout the sweaty head gaskets.but the rocker cover was known to sweat routinely.
(Some)Earlier sohc bikes did have some gearbox issues...so if looking at a running bike take it thru ALL gears.
Also clutch issues on longterm stored bikes can be an issue
Recent sohc owners may be of greater help..
