Update on new cb750a.
The bike ran well after i got it home the first time i rode it up and down my street. Did fine up to about 70mph and from a stop in both L and D. The next time i tried it would start fine but would just die with any throttle input. I had already ordered air and oil filters new fuel lines and filter, new plugs and dyna ignition.
This past weekened i pulled carbs sprayed out all passages, they were fully rebuilt with accelerator pumps in December but I dont know if it has been ridden since then. I found old rust kinda jellyed in the down tube the petcock attaches to. Cleaned it out and che ked tje tank it is clean no rust. I set valve lash and cam chain tensioner, put in the dyna ignition and used brake light switch wire for switched power. Adjusted throttle opener, replaced air filter and crank case breather hoses. Replaced choke cable, petcock, key switch, seat lock and gas lid lock all 3cftom one of my parts bike as they all just worked better.
It stated up immediately smooth as butter without the clattering it had. The throtgle opener works too well i'll need to back off the adjuster some but it pulls from a stop without issues and should now be ready for some miles. As much as my hip will allow!.
