I've ordered two things from Japan in the last couple of months.
One was a Tamiya CB750 model kit (the big one), this came via SpeedPAK and was pretty straightforward.
I got an email demand from FedEx demanding the excise duty (plus their £9 cut), once I paid that the item was delivered as normal.
The second item I bought was a CB750 horn, the original (expensive) one made by Mitsuba.
That was sent by Japan Post.
Only £62 all in therefore no VAT or duty to pay.
Apparently, at least one attempt has been made to deliver this to my house, but strangely, no card has been left.
Now apparently, it is being retained awaiting my collection of it.
But I've no idea where or who from, and Japan Post Tracking doesn't appear to want to tell me.
Is this some sort of inscrutable oriental guessing game that I'm supposed to join in with ?
I'd appreciate it if anyone can tell me who they are partnered with in the UK

Is there a UK tracking number on the JapanPost site? They seem to use various couriers for onward shipping Parcelforce amongst others.

Got it sorted eventually.
Turned out the UK partner was Parcelforce, so the item was awaiting collection just down the road from me.
Nothing in the Japan Post Tracking details that told me that, almost as if it was some sort of state secret.
Much searching eventually brought up a reference to Parcelforce Coventry, the only clue I could find.
