looking good it reminds me of starting my norbsa build 5 years ago, lining up the engine and box to back sprocket and welding all new engine mounts on, as the build progressed it gave me some headaches but now it's nearly finished, the biggest problem was getting the centre stand spring in a good position , now in hindsight i should have used a different stand to the norton one.

I'm probably going to start withthe rear plates, it looks like I'll be able to go from the CB mounts to the web the swingarm mounts on in a pretty straight shot.

Waiting on funds mostly. Also waiting on title paperwork. Didn't want to get too deep before knowing I can get it on the road. Since it's been off the road so long it takes the state a while to confirm it's out of the system.

I can finally start spending cash on this without worrying. It only took about 3 months to get the title sorted out with the state.

I`m going thru the same stuff here in australia for my F2 . It is an american import , so never registered in this country . That means it has to be engineer certified to show it complies with "ADR" australian design rules . This gets you what is called a mod plate and that has been done , so now I have to get "CTP" compulsory third party insurance . Then I can take it to get a roadworthy report and finally go to a licensing department to pay for and get vehicle registration , phew what a chore . I cannot wait to be able to ride it . I will enjoy watching how your build goes , it should be good

Yeah, the issue with this frame is it hasn't been tagged since the 70s. So it wasn't in records anywhere. So a month was waiting for the state to admit that it didn't have ownership records, then file a form and wait another 30 days to wait for them to say we'll allow you to get a title, and another few weeks to get the title request approved so that I could take it to a tag agency to get a VIN inspection. So slow, but not too bad.

This is coming along all the same. That is a cool rear setup. Will be interesting to see what you do with this

Rear motor plates version 2 are in progress. I decided to raise the rear 1/2" to get more clearance between the chain and swingarm.

Smart move, when I built my Triton back in 1972 the chain ran too near the swinging arm pivot and if it got a bit slack it chewed into it.

It should have been fine where it was, but a little extra clearance won't hurt. The sprocket is closer to the pivot than on most tritons or even the original atlas engine. But it is a bit lower than those are.

I got the front wheel I'm going to use, it's heavy and more for looks than anything else, but it should look good polished up. GT750 4ls.
