Sump drain plug

Dropped the oil from the CB750C I'm trying to get back on the road and I thought I might purchase a magnetic plug to replace the one fitted.
Looking at parts lists it says m14 x1.5mm is the size mine appears to be m15 x 1.5mm anyone else had this or is this yet another bodge.

The original size is 14mm. Get yourself a 14mm bolt and see if it threads in.

Neodymium (rare earth) disc magnets are extraordinarily powerful and remarkably inexpensive. Use the existing plug & attach a disc magnet to it.

Place a solid one on the inner end of the plug. It won't go anywhere. Use a disc magnet with a small hole & drill a small hole in the end of the plug for screw & thread locker retention if you're more comfortable with that, but it's really unnecessary.
