I'm re-building a set of carbs for '74 cb350-four and hit a snag. The holes for the pilot jets (or slow jets) are stripped on 2 of the four carbs. The old jets are out but the new ones won't thread in. They bottom out and keep turning. I'm thinking the last guy that re-built them over-tightend the jets and stripped the threads. Any ideas for a fix other than replacing the carbs? My next move is to figure out the thread size/pitch and re-tap, but I'm thinking the threads might be too far gone.
