Hi I'm stripping my frame for blasting and paint but am struggling to get the steering lock out, it's the type in the frame headstock and engages in a slot in the fork stem not the type on the ignition switch. I have removed the rivet and washer but can't get the lock barrel out, I think it should just slide out mut only moves about 1mm so not enough to get hold of, I don't want to smash it out as I'm hoping there's a number on it so I can get a key for it. 1977 CB750F1 near the end before the F2.

Looks like it's the big hammer as looking at the pictures of the lock on line the key needs to be in and turned to the left to extract the lock, DSS has a replacement :-(

Drilled the lock and it came out fairly easily without any damage to the socket on the steering head, found a replacement from Germany on a well known auction site so that's another job sorted!
